A total of 329 reviewers gave 787 comments about what it was like to study in France. Overall, France received an average rating of 8.3 out of 10, which is significantly higher than its score in 2013.

Impressions about French culture and city life were overall more positive than the European average. Even the smaller cities offered opportunities for fun student activities.

The average cost of attending a French institution is 186 EUR for first year degrees and 255 EUR for a master’s degree. These figures are accurate for the 2012-2013 school year. Again the actual amount of tuition cost will vary according to the numerous factors that we’ve already discussed. These costs are far less than what is found at many other universities and colleges around the world, all for one of the best educations in the world.

It is estimated that you will need around 430 EUR per month to survive while you attend college in the country, but this is a low figure and it never hurts to have a little more.
